Teddy E. Wright

Teddy E. Wright, 86, of Princeton, passed away Thursday, December 14, 2023 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville. He was born May 15, 1937 in Princeton to the late Charles Edward Sr. and Ruth Gladys (Hart) Wright. He was a graduate of Princeton High School and served his country in the U. S. Marine Corps. He worked at the former Potter & Brumfield Mfg. Co. in Princeton for many years, before becoming a coal miner and worked at the Kings Mine in Princeton, Keensburg Mine in Keensburg, IL and retired from Old Ben Mining Co. He attended the Arthur General Baptist Church and had resided his entire lifetime in the Gibson and Pike County communities.

Teddy is survived by his wife of 51 years, Pauline (Caldemeyer) Wright of Princeton; a daughter, Judy Ann Wright of Princeton; a son, Christopher Todd Wright of San Clemente, CA; also, numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 2 sisters, him being the last of 7 children.

The funeral service will be held at 10 am (CST) on Monday, December 18, 2023 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Rev. Philip Wright officiating. Interment will follow at Shiloh Cemetery near Hazleton. Full military rites will be provided by the Retired Military Veterans. Visitation will be from 4 until 6 pm (CST) on Sunday, December 17th at the funeral home.
