Thelma I. Dunn, 89, of Princeton, passed away Monday, August 31, 2020 at her home. She was born August 15, 1931 in Princeton to the late Martin D. McFadden and Emma (McLemore) McFadden. She married Bill J. Dunn on January 20, 1950 in Crown Point, Indiana and they were married almost 60 years before his passing. She worked as a spray painter for 23 and a half years at Trio Flo in Ypsilanti, Michigan then moved back to her hometown in 1997. Thelma enjoyed painting, taking care of the home, and being a great mom. She made sure her family and anyone who walked through her door was taken care of. She loved talking and was a strong-willed woman. She liked watching girls’ basketball and the St. Louis Cardinals and especially liked being right all the time. She was loved tremendously and will be missed beyond measure.
Thelma is survived by her sons, Alvin L. Dunn (Edna) and Billy Dewayne Dunn both of Princeton; daughter, Diana Evans of Princeton; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Dale McFadden of Washington, D.C.; special friend, Dan Mason; and beloved animal companion, Benjamin “Benjie”, her chihuahua.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; grandson, William Dunn; granddaughters, Jennifer Ross and Virginia Dunn; 3 siblings; and her beloved animals, Peppie and Vince.
A funeral service will be held 10:30 AM Friday, September 4, 2020 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton officiated by Pastor Kevin Wilson. Interment will follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Princeton. A visitation will be held from 10 until service time 10:30 AM Friday at the funeral home.
