Venita Oursler Obituary

Venita M. Oursler, 70, of Princeton passed away Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at the Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville.  She was born April 19, 1955 in Princeton to Adrian and Lorene (Maxwell) Lindy.

Venita was retired and had worked as a Telephone Operator for the Princeton Telephone Company.  She loved to bake and decorate cakes, enjoyed playing the piano, loved giving gifts, collecting Hallmark ornaments, and Beanie Babies. She and her husband Jerry liked to go to airplane shows together.  Venita loved her dog Alfie, who passed away.  She loved him so much that she could never have another one.  She was known for her candy she made at Christmas, everyone looked forward to enjoying it. 

Venita is survived by her husband, Jerry Oursler; sister Amelia Green (Chris) Mooresville; niece, Rachael Green of Seattle, WA; godchild, Darrah Trayler; brother-in-law, Leonard Oursler Jr.; and special friend and caregiver, Jill Wright.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Brenda Wittrock; nephew, David Oursler; and godson, Lance Wright.

A funeral service will be held 12 p.m. Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Pastor Spencer Gaines officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Vincennes.  Visitation will be held from 10 until 12 pm on Tuesday at the funeral home.
