Verna Lee Jennings, 88, of Patoka, passed away Sunday September 5, 2021 at her home in Patoka. She was born December 16, 1932 in Fort Branch to the late Verner Joseph Kramer and Jessie (Stalling) Kramer.
Verna served in the United States Navy for a few years in the 1950s. She worked as a hairdresser for many years and retired in 2002. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Princeton and volunteered for the American Red Cross for several years. She also volunteered her time at St. Joseph Catholic School and the Princeton Community Middle School. She was a volunteer advocate for CASA and will be missed by many.
Verna is survived by her son, Robert Lee Jennings of Patoka; grandson, Robert Lance Jennings of Princeton; great-granddaughter, Nova Marie Jennings; siblings, Lodema Mounts of Darmstadt and Herb Kramer of Tell City; several nieces and nephews; and a special caregiver, Meloney Racine.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Robert Jennings in 2002.
Private services will be held at a later date. Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton has been entrusted with the arrangements.
