Vicki Decker Obituary

A beautiful soul has passed.

Vicki Decker, 78, of Princeton, IN passed peacefully at home with her family by her side on November 4, 2024.

Vicki was born November 26, 1945 in Princeton. She resided there all of her life. She attended St. Joseph Catholic School and was a lifetime member of the church.

Vicki graduated from Princeton High School in 1964. She then went on to Tri-State Beauty School to fulfill her passion of becoming a cosmetologist. She owned Vicki’s Beauty Shop, worked for 57 years and had a devoted clientele. She also enjoyed tending to the yard and her flowers, decorating, music and finding a good bargain. But nothing meant more to her than spending time with her family.

Vicki is survived by her husband of 21 years, Glenn Decker; her daughters, Julie Vittori and Stephanie Dewus (Matt); stepchildren, Sarah Day (Charles) and Jonathan Decker (Andrea); grandchildren, Austin Dewus (Lilly), Jack Vittori, Brady Decker and Evan Day; great grandchild, Isabelle Dewus; sister, Kim Hickman (Ken); nieces, Kristin and Katherine; and nephew, Kurt.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard & Jacqueline Reinhart.  

A memorial mass will be held at 1 pm on Friday, November 8, 2024 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Princeton with Fr. Gary Kaiser as celebrant. Interment will follow the service at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Princeton. Visitation will be from 11 am until the hour of service on Friday at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 410 S. Race St., Princeton, IN 47670 or Deaconess Hospice, 611 Harriett St., Evansville, IN 47710. Envelopes will be available at the church.
