With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our cherished son and brother, Vincent Edward (Eddie) Arnold, on February 22, 2026.
Deeply mourned by his mother, Mary Hazel (Dedrick) Sives; brother, William “Will” Arnold Jr.; step-brother, Jackie (Tami) Sives; and sister, Darla (Ralph) Ewin.
Eddie is proceeded in death by his father, William J. Arnold Sr.; step-father, Robert J. Sives, both of Oakland City, Indiana.
Eddie was born on October 30, 1966, in Oakland City. He was a 1984 graduate of Wood Memorial High School. Eddie’s love for youth baseball, hunting, mushrooms, fishing, and antique bottle collecting, brought joy to everyone he met. He truly loved his cat “kitty stupid” as he affectionally called him.
Eddie was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Church of Oakland City and later became a born-again Christian who took great time and attention for his journeying of the Bible’s New Testament.
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 1 pm Friday, February 27, 2026, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with Fr. Bernie Etienne as celebrant. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery in Ft. Branch, IN. Visitation will be held at Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City from 10:00 AM until 12:30 PM followed by procession to the church for mass.
