Virginia O. O’Neal, 99, of Princeton, passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at Transcendent Healthcare of Owensville. She was born on June 1, 1921 in Littles in Pike County to Fred and Mary G. (McCandless) Davis. She had worked as a cashier at A & P Grocery and Harold’s Grocery and she was a member of First Baptist Church in Princeton where she volunteered in the church nursery. She collected dolls, enjoyed crocheting, especially baby blankets, and was an avid reader.
Virginia is survived by her son, Don O’Neal (Mary Ann) of Princeton; daughter-in-law, Donna O’Neal of Chandler; grandchildren, April Grangier (Steve), Ian O’Neal (Lisa), Audrey Buerger (Eric), Darby O’Neal and Jennifer Young; and several great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James “Bus” O’Neal in 1998; son, Dennis Michael “Mike” O’Neal in 2019; and siblings, Sam, Henry, Rudi, & Marvin Davis, Esther Dillon and Betty Jo England.
A joint funeral service for Virginia and her sister, Betty Jo, who passed away on January 22, will be held at the graveside at 11 a.m. on Tuesday February 9, 2021 at Martin Cemetery in Glezen with Pastor Brad Keenan officiating. Burial will follow. Colvin Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
