Walter Carter Walden, 74, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2020, at his home in Royston, GA.
He was born in Evansville, IN on December 12, 1945 to the late Andrew and Essie (Hardiman) Walden. He was a truck driver having worked for Rex Don Inc. and was of the Pentecostal faith.
Survivors include his son, James Walter Carter of Indiana; daughters, Charlene Carter Ray of Missouri, Sylvia Doerner of Indiana, Julia Lunn of Georgia, and Sysine Cooper of Indiana; brother, Wayne Carter of Indiana; thirteen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; life partner of 24 years, Debi Alumbaugh of Illinois; her son, Travis Alumbaugh; and his three children.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, April 21, 2023 at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Rev. William Morris officiating. Burial will follow in the Sand Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 am until the service time on Friday at the funeral home.
