William Robert Ford, 100, died Saturday, June 15, 2024 at 2:58 p.m. at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh.
He was born on April 17, 1924, served in the U.S. Army during World War 2, was employed by R.J. Refinery in Princeton, and retired from Old Ben Coal Company in Oakland City. William spent his lifetime in Princeton and was a member of the Hillside United Methodist Church in Princeton, the VFW, American Legion, Elks, and Scottish Rite.
He is survived by his son, Thomas H. Ford; sister, Lupheba Newman of Evansville; granddaughter, Corey Ford; and several nieces and nephews.
William was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Catherine Ford; wife, Lucille Ford; daughter, Kris Ford; brothers Wesley Ford and Doyne Ford.
Funeral services will be held at Columbia White Church Cemetery June 29, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. Military rites will be provided by the Retired Military Veterans.
