William “Roger” McClure, 78, of Francisco, passed away on Wednesday, February 24. 2021 at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Oakland City. He was born Nov. 11, 1942 in Petersburg to Edward and Hazel (Hensley) McClure.
Roger was of the Catholic faith. He retired from Whirlpool in Evansville where he worked for 39 years. He was also a farmer and owned and operated McClure Construction Co. He enjoyed camping, hunting, crappie fishing and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Judy McClure of Francisco; son, Richard McClure (Xan) of Johnson; grandchildren, Katilyn Ranae Bemis and Glenn Phillip McClure; great granddaughters, Peysan and Harper Bemis; sister, Sandy Parker (Merill) of Princeton.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Phillip McClure in 1987; sisters, Barbara McClure and Marilyn Lashbrook.
Visitation will be from 2 until 5 p.m. on Monday, March 1, 2021, followed by a Christian Wake Service at 5 p.m. with Fr. Gary Kaiser officiating at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton. Due to COVID-19 regulations, numbers inside the funeral home will be limited with masks and social distancing required. Burial will be at a later date at the Francisco Community Cemetery in Francisco.
