Wilma L. Ikerd, 86, of Fishers, passed away on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at Allisonville Meadows in Fishers. She was born on July 25, 1934 in Princeton to George and Matilda (Kruse) Burns. She lived in Indianapolis most of her adult life. She had worked as an Optometry Tech at Metro Health in Indianapolis. She was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Indianapolis and also attended Northview Church in Carmel.
Wilma is survived by her children, Tracey Ray Ikerd (Sheri) of Fishers and Nicholas Joseph Ikerd (Terri) of Rossville; grandchildren, Stephen Ikerd, Joshua Ikerd, Andrew Ikerd, Caleb Ikerd, Deanna Wright, Hannah Ikerd, Jacob Ikerd and Karla D. Attamack; 17 great grandchildren; sisters-in law, Louise Burns, Marie Burns, Frances Burns and Frances “Tody” Hartwell; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William C. Ikerd; sisters, Betty Lynch, Marie Bilderback, Ruth Gaston and Marjorie Sloan; brothers, John, Fred, Charles, Harold, Kenneth, Glenn, Gene and Edd Burns.
A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at Francisco Cemetery in Francisco officiated by Pastor James Saunders. Burial will follow. There will be no visitation. Colvin Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. Due to the current COVID-19 regulations, social distancing and masks are recommended.
